Migration

Ah, I can't believe how fast this month has flown by! I'm still in Central America-I've migrated back to the home land for some family stuff and the holidays. I am definitely not on vacation though! Apart from lots of family functions and such, I am working hard on getting my website up, and continuing to add to my portfolio. Needless to say, El Salvador is a beautiful country, and am feeling inspired by land. I got a chance to go the beach last week, so here's a few shots from then.

I do however get some downtime once in a while, like now, and when I do, I'm catching up on my mags that I brought with me from home. I was in such a rush and the last month had been so hectic that I didnt even see the covers, just grabed the stack of december mags I hadnt read off my side table and stuffed them into my oversized luggage.

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday!

FotoWeekDC

Ah, I know I'm behind on updating this, but lots of stuff going on! I am currently in El Salvador for some family time, so I will get back on schedule and I am in the midst of what feels like a few hundred projects(including the launch of my official website with the help of my friend Laura!)

Volunteering with FotoweekDC was great! Made some friends, met some pretty awesome people and saw lots of great photography! I would definitely recommend checking it out next year, if not getting involved! Check out the site and register to find out more info!

Also this photobooth was set up at Satellite Central where guests could print out 4x6s of themselves. Very cool. Make sure to check out their site here.

Toast

Been pretty busy this last week, but this video is too cool. Okgo's videos reminds me of the true artistic integrity that most bands so quickly loose. Okgo is just one of those bands that you know are real. Also, Damien is hot.

Some photo projects are in the works, also have been volunteering with FotoWeekDC this week. It's been fun. I'll upload some photos of me and some new friends at work.

Heidi? Is that you?

Well, I didnt exactly do much for Halloween this year but some celebrity's costumes were hilarious, and just plain bizzare. Like Heidi Klum. Justjared claims she's a robotic superhero? This deserves an lol.

Naming Names...

I've been listening to Taylor Swifts new album, Speak Now, on repeat ever since I got it and it's addicting. No, actually. It's addicting. I may like it more than her sophomore album, Fearless. You can really see how she's grown as a musician in this album. Not only are her lyrics more polished but the music is really beautiful. Her song entitled, Dear John, is a perfect example.

Model Mayhem:Lindsey Wixon

It was hard not to notice Lindsey Wixon a couple years ago when she first appeared on the scene when she was in every single one of my magazines for the Mui Mui ad. Oh, and her pouty lips that even with all the plastic surgery in the world Heidi Montag could never get. Oh, and her teeth. Her gapped teeth are the cutest thing I've ever seen—she makes Lara Stone look like a hillbilly.

It's without a doubt that she's more than a rising star, she's the top model right now. Tyra couldn't find and make a covergirl like this no matter how hard she tries. She's walked in, what seems to be, every other show this past season, and this week it's been confirmed Marc Jacobs and Mulberry have hired her for Spring 2011 Campaigns. Oh, and Donatellas obsession with her baby version of herself has not died out; Wixon is the face of the Versace Fragrance Vanitas. She's so versatile. She has a natural elegance, and poise. Photographs so soft, yet fierce—every photographers dream. All at 16.

New Obsession: Small Black

I think I love chillwave music too much. New album by Small Black out this week!

New Skins?

November's Vogue came out a few days ago, so I've been nestled in that for the past few days...I just can't get over how much Annie looks like Eva Mendes on the cover! I think Anne Hathaway is gorgeous, and she really does look stunning in Oscar de la Renta but hello! She looks like Eva's doppelganger.

Another thing I want to talk about, Skins. Not the beloved UK series...but MTV's new american remake. I just saw the trailer, and I am disappointed! Not that I really expected anything to really compare to the original, but I was hoping for something! They've completely failed! Trailers aren't supposed to turn you off, but they gave me nothing to go on. I miss the original cast, but season five of the UK series is under production at the moment so maybe they'll mend the heart that the american version tore to shreds.

What the hell is a G6?

This damn song won't get out of my head...

So I saw these kids perform on George Lopez Tonight a few weeks ago while I was flicking through channels, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since then. I don't even know if I like this song, or I hate it but it's catchy so I like it? You know?
I've only heard this song sober but I am sure if I had a little vino or maybe a 40' of gin I'd be getting, what this song calls "slizzard." I am having difficulty restraining my shoulders from shimmying...

I'm gonna listen to the rest of the album Free Wired by Far East Movement to see if I actually like them or if this is just one of those songs that's going to make me loose a few brain cells after hearing it a billion times, which I am sure it will.

P.S. this video is weird.

Living with my parents again, at 22 ,has drove me into a deeper boredom than ever imagined. Therefore, I am blogging...cause I have nothing else to do. Judge all you want, cause if you're reading this, I am assuming you have nothing better to do either.
